Crash in 0.16.24

Post by Plawerth »

This is "Arumba Prime Marathon", a stripworld 128 tiles tall, and currently about 40,000 tiles wide, with 128x difficulty. It is intended as a long-play ridiculous difficulty game, meant to run for hundreds of hours.

TO REPLICATE BUG:
Launch the save game and do nothing. Just stand there. After about 5-10 minutes the game will crash.

This normally runs on linux headless. Sometimes my remote Windows client will crash along with the server, but sometimes I just see "communications with server failed".

I tried the save on Windows and it crashes as well, after about 4 minutes.

The Windows log is a little different from the linux log. It says Access Violation occurred.

Okay, so I see this has been moved to the "Duplicates" category, but this doesn't tell me anything. It's a duplicate of what?

I have looked through all the "Fixed in next release / Assigned / Not a bug" etc categories and I don't see anything similar to this.

Could some mod please include a link to whatever this is a duplicate of, so I can know if / when this will be fixed?

I'm guessing it's a duplicate of viewtopic.php?f=30&t=57869, which is fixed for 0.16.25, but I didn't actually check the stack traces. (There have been multiple reports of that bug, and in some of them the trigger for the crash seemed to be disabling a station by circuit network).
