I just experienced my first crash in almost 700 hours of playing factorio, and it is repeatable for me. I'm playing the 0.16.5 version right now (no mods running).
The crash happens when I remove/mine the small power poles in the vicinity of a substation I just placed to cover my green circuit production, although sometimes it happens when I remove several and then reconnect disconnected portions of the circuit by adding some of the poles back in. It may have to do with connecting/disconnecting portions of the electrical network. In any case, I can reliably make the game crash by fiddling with the power pole placement a bit in many different permutations of adding/removing poles (done it several times so far). I attached the log file and save game. First time posting a bug report so I hope this helps.

Re: Crash when removing power poles
I was about to post a similar interaction but mine involved a medium power pole and a substation. I'll just post some relevant info here.
The substation is nearby but not in the screenshot. At first i thought it was my chest/inserter set up

Re: Crash when removing power poles
boskid probably right. When I looked for similar issues I was looking for inserter glitches but this is clearly a power pole problem. Thanks for feedback.
