Re: [0.12.0] Window Sizing issue
Uhm, maximize the window and go to options->graphics and set the UI scale to something lower.

Re: [0.12.0] Window Sizing issue
That seemed to work, although that setting seems counter-intuitive.
Thanks for the help.

Re: [0.12.0][Twinsen] Window Sizing issue
@Twinsen You have marked this as duplicate. But are you sure it is duplicate?
We don't know what was UI scale did plaidwalker had before.
If it was set to more than 1.0 then this is indeed duplicate.
But if it was set to 1.0 it is possible that Windows 8.1 didn't recognize Factorio as HD ready application and therefore reported the wrong (smaller than actual) screen resolution to Factorio and stretch the Factorio surface sot that it would still fill the entire screen.
I forgot how this Windows feature is called. But it is used in order to stretch the old application which are not ready for such large screen resolutions so that they are not to small.
EDIT: Unfortunately my monitor resolution is to small to try and test this out.
