When i open the interface of an assembler, Chemical plant, centrifuge (they all seem to have the same behavior). And click the "set current recipe" button. I observe the following behavior (this appears to be repeatable)
1. The menu to choose recipe appears.
2. The material that is "buffered" in the assembler gets return to me.
3. Any material that is currently in production gets deleted.
I first noticed this when i was crafting a Speed Module 3. When i cancelled it i did not have enough material to craft a Speed Module 3 afterwards. It also happened while i was doing Kovarex Enrichment, and 40 Uranium-235 got deleted. After this i tested and this seems to be consistent for all assemblers, but more difficult to notice with cheaper/faster recipes.
I am playing without any mods.

Re: [0.17.69] Items deleted from Assemblers when switching recipes
I get this might not be considered a bug. But from a mechanics perspective it is pretty broken when you lose 40 enriched uranium. In my current game i rolled the save game because of it. Took me a good 30 min to generate those uranium, and i wanted it to be faster by adding more speed modules, so picked up the building and voila, 40 uranium gone.
I mean, loosing a speed module 3 sucks, but loosing 40 uranium makes me want to bang my head against a wall. "Literally"

I know this is too much punishment in case of 40 good uranium. They are however considered catalyst in some part (catalyst is not considered for productivity) and so they are not able to trigger any productivity abuse and so this is why i proposed here to "at least give back catalysts".
