[0.17.52] Blueprints in Quickbar not selectable and not greyed out when moved in book

Post by Tommy59375 »

A very minor graphical bug which can probably be fixed in less time than it took to write this report for. Of course I'm happy to provide any additional information as required.

Description of the problem.
  1. Suppose I have a blueprint pinned to my quickbar (the toolbar at the bottom of the screen). I can use the any normal/expected method to select the blueprint and put it in my hand. Good.
  2. Suppose I move this blueprint into a chest. The icon in my quickbar gets greyed out, to indicate that I won't be able to select it. This is the same behaviour as for any other item in the quickbar. Good.
  3. Now, instead of (ii.), suppose that I move the blueprint into a blueprint book which is in my inventory. Then...
    1. there is no visible change to the entry in my quickbar (the icon does not become greyed out),
    2. and furthermore, I cannot select the blueprint. This is the problem.
I would expect, in (iii.), exactly one of (A.) or (B.) would occur, but not both.

Steps to reproduce.
  1. Create a non-empty blueprint, as well as a blueprint book, and put both in your inventory.
  2. Click-and-drag the blueprint into one of the empty slots in your quickbar. Leave the book in your inventory.
  3. Open (right click) the book.
  4. Move (click-and-drag) the blueprint into the book. You can do this either by clicking on the blueprint's icon in your inventory, or also by clicking its icon in your quickbar.

Thanks for the report. This is already a known thing that theoretically will be worked on in the future. For now, just don't do that. Use the blueprint *from* the book as books are intended to be used.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
