Hi there!
First time posting in the forums =)

I got a crash trying to set up my assembling machine mk2 to make some e-engines... i dont have set up oil for lubricant but i want to set it up for the future.
Game worked like a charm before, no issues at all... I tried it a second time and got again a crash.
i walked to the most left assembling machine mk2 in my mall and clicked on it, didnt pressed anything else just the left mouse button to click threw the menus finding the e-engine and clicked it once -> crash
if you need further information, just ask =)

Had this same crash in 0.17.39 on a public server a few times. I was trying to manually set recipe for a mall blueprint that was laid when blue belts was not researched yet. The server crashed twice when I tried to set the recipe for blue belts. One time the pipes already had lube in them and the other time they didn't. The blueprint was from 0.16 or earlier since it had iron sticks going into a lamp assembler.

Sounds like the assembly machine fluid bug that's been making the rounds lately.

It does look like that assembly machine fluid bug, but it was supposed to be fixed in 0.17.39.

It looks like some variation of it that I have not seen before. Most cases have been fixed.

How exactly did you set up that assembler?
The issue I was solving yesterday was an assembler with a fluid recipe build by a blueprint, before that recipe was invented. But that is not it as that works ok now.

Could you please give me the BP? I was now trying to set up assemblers even with old blueprint and it still works :(

I'm getting this bug in [0.17.39] today, also. Trying to set an Assembly Machine Mk2 to create blue circuits.

If you open the save you'll be standing next to one of the machines with the problem. Just click on it and attempt to set the recipe to processors.

I'm sorry but the BP was not mine since it was on a public server. I tried to explain the situation as closely as I can since I don't have the server logs or save game. I can try asking the comfy server admins if they have anything to help you with.

I can replicate the crash, but that does me no good. The assembler is already in some bad state and I need to know how it got there.

Please, if anybody knows how they got the assembler into the broken state and ideally can reproduce it, let me know. I can't figure it out.
It would probably be something about blueprint with not yet invented recipe.

To be honest, I probably placed that blueprint before I even researched Automation 2, to reserve the space on my production line.

So it might be that if you place an AM2 blueprint requiring liquids when you only have access to AM1 assembly machines, it creates the ghost in an invalid state because it doesn't know what to do about the fluids, yet.

Maybe the order or rotation in which the assembly machine and the pipes are placed matters? Or if they are placed by hand or by bots.

I have tried that, that does not do it.

Maybe if the blueprint was placed in 0.17.38 but the crash happened in 0.17.39?

Migration fixes the issue, so it needs to be within one version.

Sorry for the late answer! Did not looked again for a few days...
the original bp was made by me on a 0.16.x savegame but what i can say after deleting my old savegame and a few other mall bps, i changed it and it shouldnt be built directly from the bp..
edit: is it useful to use the replay function? didnt ever use it. can i review my game, like i record everything? and can i activate after starting a game?
