[0.9.8] OSX: launch brings on system hang, then crashes.

Post by Amiruse »

As the title says, it quite simply loads the logo, with the green loading bar, which hits one notch immediately. The entire OS— everything, except the mouse— hangs, which, moving to other windows, generates visual lag, and every time it crashes with the very same error, which OSX reports (sysinfo and crash info!) as this: http://pastebay.com/1440436

Weirdly, the demo worked completely perfect. (For the record, I've got Mavericks, on 27' 2010 iMac.)

Turned lowres on? Turned second monitor off?
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Yeah, VRAM exhaustion. High graphics requires 256M continuous VRAM block (plus ~500M total). You might have to edit the config file manually to enable low graphics setting.

This will eventually be fixed, but AFAIK unfortunately not in the next patch.

Enabling that setting works like a charm, thank you!
