Long time I didn't went here, despite reading FFF each weeks. But this week is particularly important so...

Congratulations to you all !! You're doing an incredible work.
I'm really happy to see that everything seems to go smoothly. I hope it will continue this way :)
And congratulation to for all the events in your personal life that happened in lasts months (yes I'm very late) : wedding, births :) All of this are really good news, pleasant to hear!

Concerning the game, Steam launch was a huge step, glad to see that everything is fine for now.
Now, I really hope you'll go on GOG !! I know it's not for now, but if you go on GOG, do you think we could get a key, for people not interested (at all) by the steam key ?

Another thing, will there be a way to buy the soundtrack through your website ? (I mean, any news concerning this ?) And will the musics of the trailers be available too ?

I'm so happy of all your work and all of your decisions etc..(and to see everything is going well on your side).

As always, I wish you the best, and good luck ! Keep up this spirit and the awesome work ;D

PS : I hope there will be more scenarios to come :)

Green are overall sales. Blue are sales to EU. Red are sales to US. Yellow are sales to the rest of the world.

Am I still the only one who noticed, that the number of the FFF is wrong on the website? ;)
I am Nic and I love to play games - the more unique the game concept is, the more I am up to buy a game and support the developers with my ideas.

What these graphs mean? Without a legend it is hard to know. :(
pd: once again I updated my account because I knew that option would disappear.
Time across the bottom, in hours. Sales (in units?) on the left. Sharp drop-off when it went live on Steam.

Obviously so, but i think the question went on what the different colors meant ...

Assuming they have not changed it:
Graph from our sales data starting more than 2 year ago. The Y axis represents number of sales in a given month. Green are overall sales. Blue are sales to EU. Red are sales to US. Yellow are sales to the rest of the world. We started collecting the sale location data only after April 2014.

I suppose most of those yellow sales are asians.

Just take a look at the community hub, the screenshots section. So many moonrunes.

This is hardly surprising, I'd just never considered this before. Western games generally fail to impress the far eastern market, but there's the odd one here and there.

Is there a way to see total sales of Factorio, or is this option gone forever now you guys are on Steam? Apparently Steam doesn't release game purchase statistics, but are you guys planning on making this statistic available? Could be interesting.

Agree, I'd love an overall sales graph that's weekly updated. In a similar manner, if you collect user's gameplay statistics it could be fun to publish some of those. Lots of interesting things to play with.

I'm one of the group of people who bought the Factorio at the last moment before Steam relase.
But not the 1st tier, I had that, the 3rd is the one I now have :)

Grats on the smooth release guys. We'll see what kind of traction the game gains with the community. There are quite a few people hoping the game goes big and in the coming weeks we'll see. With 0.13 upcoming, that's the perfect time to carry this great release momentum over and start to convert a lot of the launch goodwill and happy feelings into loyal community members. That is, people have bought the game and then suddenly there is a major update showing what early access is supposed to be about :D

Congrats, guys. Bought Factorio in January 2014 (just before release 0.9, I think) and have been playing ever since.

Don't forget the higher tier supporters!
I would suggest that you give them the soundtrack for free, but the music files are already in the base game, unencrypted and for anyone to use.
Although, I bet that's going to change soon.

It's one thing to get a new customer from the Steam launch. But getting a professional lurker to comment publicly? Wow.
