Since landfill is now in the experimental releases I have been having a lot of fun with island starts. It gives you a nice quiet start and when you are ready you can choose when to create a bridge to the nearest land mass and engage the enemy. Today I encountered some of the biggest islands I have ever seen and I wanted to share them.

Those islands sure look nice, but the resource settings (everything on very high) isn't for everyone...

Just wanted to note, these don't seem to produce islands with .13.10's new map gen. Although the .13.10 map is still pretty interesting...
