[0.14.19] MP LAN won't discover

So, me and my friend have been playing on a world for weeks now, since the 0.13 update. We've both updated to 0.14.18 when it came out and everything was fine. I was even able to connect when i was at my Desktop at home. Now, with the 0.14.19 update we can't do anything because my computer won't discover the server. He's tried public games too and it won't be discovered. I've tried a direct connect and it won't work. We've tried EVERYTHING and it won't work. I've seen people have had issues with the MP in 0.14.

Our computers specs are both sufficient enough to run Factorio. His is a gaming laptop


UPDATE: I was able to discover his server in the public, but i cant connect

UPDATE: It sudden'y starting working. We did nothing but it suddenly started to work
