[1.1.91][Mod] Linux dedicated server crashes occasionally

Place for things which are bugs but we have no idea how to solve them. Things related to hardware, libraries, strange setups, etc.

[1.1.91][Mod] Linux dedicated server crashes occasionally

Post by darkszero »

I'm playing a multiplayer session of Space Exploration and my Linux dedicated server is sometimes crashing. This happened quite a few times in a 3-4 hour period, after not hard-crashing for over 250 hours.
There were about 4 players and the most suspicious thing is that 2 players were flying around frequently visiting new planets and deleting surfaces after. But after some crashes we stopped deleting surfaces.

Mod list is attached. Save file uploaded to mega, as it's 150MB.

End log of one crash:

Attached is a second crash, and a third one that is quite weird.

Non negligible chance it's a hardware issue because sometimes the machine would hang if both Factorio and another CPU intensive task were to run at once, but that happened a few times over the last almost 300 hours this has been running, but very infrequently. This crashing happened quite more. I'm also running memtest at the machine and no issues after 4h.

Those crashes have nothing in common, this is a hardware issue. Try removing any overclock you might have including xmp.
