[0.17.79] Game crashes after a few minutes of play. (Was previously working fine)

Hi there. I'm running Factorio 0.17 on Linux (POP OS!) and it has been working fine. Recently I started to notice that after a few minutes the game would lag out and then crash.

Thanks for the report however that stack track trace looks like bogus. Are you able to reproduce the crash reliably? Based off it looking like a bogus stack trace, you saying it happened "after a few minutes" (and not due to any specific action), it makes me think it's some hardware/OS issue on your end.

It only seems to be when I am recording with OBS. I just played for an hour or two while not recording and it was fine.

That says to me it happens when your system is under a heavier load and makes me think more it's a hardware issue. Are you overclocking anything?

Did OBS update recently? Given the non-sensical stacktrace (unfortunatelly, symbolization on Linux symbolizes addresses that are outside of Factorio as if they were in Factorio), it could have been OBS OpenGL hook crashing, or graphics driver crash.

I beleive there might have been a bit of both, I was having video card error trying to load OBS at a similar point in time.

*edit* OS updated gain and things seem more stable. I also disabled my second monitor and tried a test record and it went well. Thanks for having a look at this.

How do I close this issue now?

Got a save here that does it reliably on 0.17.79 win64. Installed flare stack to try to get rid of excess pure water from bob's chemicals and intermediates. Didn't save with the mod in, but did run the save with the mod. Have uninstalled it since, but the crash keeps happening. It's infected my autosaves too :(

To reproduce: load "17.x - helmod mucking", attempt to save under a new name or wait for an autosave to happen. Haven't tested it trying to save over the same name. Save, log and dump here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L6WRa9 ... sp=sharing

Going to try replacing all my fluidbox-containing buildings manually, see if that fixes it. If not, I'll try deleting them through the console, and finally will try updating to 0.18.36. All that'll have to wait for tomorrow, though.

Your crash is completely unrelated to this report. You're crashing in fluidbox logic which is most likely fixed in the latest 0.18 version of the game due to heavy reworking of how that logic functions.

Huh. That'll teach me for only reading the last line or two of a crash dump and assuming... Sorry, and thanks for the suggestion. Will update first before trying the other stuff.
