Testing a mod in MP : not allowed anymore ?

Post by binbinhfr »

Hi,

at the beginning of 0.14, I was still testing my mods in MP, running several instances of Factorio on the same machine. It was working nice : I was running 1 server and 3 clients and making various tests (especially with true MP mods like SpaceBook or AutoPvP).

Now it seems that I cannot do this anymore because each instance ask me to login with my factorio account. And as I have only 1 account, any additionnal login is refused... It says "user with your name is already connected". How am I supposed to make development tests on a MP mod from now on, if I can only run one instance of Factorio ?

Create your own local server with authentication disabled. Should be possible to connect to it from additional copy then.

Yes thx orzelek, options in the server-settings.json changed recently, and I did not look at new options.
I corrected this and now it works again. :-)
