Map range rings?

Is there already a mod that does this? If so, I haven't found it, yet.

If not, is it possible? If yes, can someone point me at the right functions/events? Ideally, I'd like to be able to toggle it with a button (add it with the ones that appear under the mini map when in map mode) or key binding.
