Mods implementing DLC content

Post by Starfly »

Hi fellow Engineers,
I wondered if there's been a discussion or official response on mods implementing dlc(-like) content? For example a Power Armor mk3 mod adding the ability to hover everywhere, basically being a copy of the
Mechsuit
then. Or a mod just simply unlocking direct dlc content circumventing drm. Will the mods be moderated then or isn't the topic important enough?
Just asking out of curiosity to waste some time till release day.

The basic rules are like this: As long as it's original content, created or licensed by you, re-implementing is ok. Straight up copying files from Space Age to a non Space Age mod is not ok. Obviously we reserve the right to limit distribution of any mod on the mod portal.
