[Request] Compilatron Construction Companion

An early game Compilatron that can follow you around with an inventory and construction radius.

Even though it would be slow, would be nice to have him working on repetitive crap until you get to bots.

A mid game driveable Compilatron vehicle has just released on the mod portal. Not exactly what you are looking for, as it was designed to fit in the mid game as crawler and explorer.

Early game there is only the (forked) construction drones mod. They work basically as surface construction bots, using chests
and player inventory to grab from. Ideal early blueprint plopping.

So basically the bluebuilt mod but with an entity? You place a ghost or blueprint and compilatron builds it?

Should it lag behind you or roam around till it has all ghosts build or always stay at your heals?

But its for v 1.0 and deprecated, so you'd have to upgrade and debug it.

I do like the Updated Construction Drones.

However, I was thinking more of a static compilatron that doesn't spawn like personal construction bots. It would be dumb, slow, run on burnables, and only move to a nearby blueprint and build from items in its trunk.

I said "follow you around" initially, but probably it should just sit there doing nothing until a ghost appears nearby, or if mined and moved.

Literally for things like building a super long belt or a stretch of wall while the player can go do something else. Basically, for repetitive early game large constructions.

The personal roboport mods are nice, but you still have to wait for the bots to finish, so they can't be very slow for balancing. Early game roboports are an alternative, but doesn't really fit the tech level.
