They Are Billions Type Gameplay/Mod

Good morning all,

I had a look for a mod that would create a type of "They are Billions" game style into factorio. Everything is already there, just not the timed and ever increasing biter attacks... I'm not sure if anyone else is interested but I'd be keen to see something to this effect, simplify the building needs and create a more "easy" Factorio game with mass invasions in mind.

I'd be keen to do it but I wouldn't even know where to start. Depending on time and how much I can find out about the modding process I might take a look into it.

Have you tried the "Wave Defence" scenario? That should be a similar experience.

Coding difficulty to make some recipes cheaper for "easier/faster" gameplay: Easy.
Amount of work required to actually overhaul all recipies to feel like a fast paced RTS: Lots. And lots.

So if you have determination and lots of time you can do it ;). Factorio even has a "market" type building (used in some of the scenarios) where you can "buy" buildings for "money". Kinda like in tower defense games.

Will take a look at "Wave Defense" first and take it from there.
