[Idea] - Multiplayer Specific Light-Cycle-esque Minigame

In expectation of multiplayer being added to Factorio some time in the (hopefully near) future, I would like to share a minigame mod idea outside the scope of the main game direction:

For those who've watched Tron and/or Tron: Legacy (if not, I recommend them ), remember the light-cycles? That... except with Cars and Walls.

Elaboration

• With entity removal disabled and entity placement fixed to the rear of the car, each player would be given infinite stone walls and infinite fuel

• For each player that crashes, the player character's death would come with the destruction of the car, triggering the defeat screen for them

• The conditions for winning would be all other players eliminated

• A maximum time could be set (fixed or user-specified) to allow for stalemate
  heck, maybe make it interesting; continue the game instead, but increasingly boost the speed of all Cars linearly over time, someone is bound to collide soon after

• Perhaps a set map could be used to accommodate the basic minigame or a map partially user-generated could be utilised to allow for user-specified aspects

Without details on how player character death will be handled in multiplayer situations, allowing game continuation and an additional feature like allowing other players to watch post-defeat (perhaps allow spectators?) may or may not be straightforward or possible. Even with such potential limitations...

I would like to know and have some fun discussing the thoughts/problems/developments others have regarding this concept.
