Overflow

Started playing Factorio recently and one of the things that immediately struck me is that there is no item overflow for the belts. You can just jam as many items into the system as you want with no negative effects. This makes the need to be efficient almost non-existent and it makes storage systems unneeded. AS someone involved in actual manufacturing before, this just won't do!

So, is there any mod that adds negative effects for overflow? Perhaps causing equipment to be destroyed and items to be thrown about and the like?


One of the disappointing things is seeing many of the builds that are out there rely on the fact that there is no negative effect for overflowing your system, you just see belts fully loaded and nothing moving but the factory still functions.
