[Idea] Train-proof facility

I got this idea when saw people complaining about their safety near busy rail network.

Yes, unlike some sort of signalling this is radical solution :D
The only problem is how to really make this train-proof in 2D flat game. How to force players on foot or on car (and aliens) to step on to the next "floor" above the train "inside" the tunnel, or maybe to remove the train's ability to hit things in this area? Is it even possible with scripts?

I don't know if it is possible, can draw the tunnel with 2 entities.
Maybe can remake the train entity when enter on the tunnel, but it's really hard, recreate an entity in movement, with wagons... and recreate again when go out of tunnel.
Maybe a idea if always is on the tunnel and train never collides with entities...

maybe something like this could be done with an underground train track, the same way as we have pipe-to-ground and belt-to-ground?

Looks really nice.

Till now I have been stricly against the "rail-to-ground" idea.
But this "piled up hill -> viaduct" picture looks perfectly sane
PS: also it looks nice :)

It does look like a neat concept. I was thinking what it would look like at night with the train traveling through it. How the light coming through the top vents would look. Making the lighting work that way would just be another issue to tackle. It would be a neat effect though.

I think they actually do?
But being thrown to a side hurts a lot and you won't survive without a tough armor?

Wow nice hack you got there to solve the issue. Looks like a really good solution, since you can just build that facility anywhere, and it looks like it's on the same level, although it isn't, although it is. Hahahaha very funny optical trick you got there.

It's impossible to modify colision box of entity in-game?
