When i use building robots, i cant place entity by Shift+LMB on some distance from player

Also happens if you hover over an entity and press Q to select it (in Map view). However Blueprints still work fine

I'd like to add my voice to this bug report. Placing ghosts via radar or any distance from the player using items in inventory ( E ) does not work anymore as of 1.1.11

It gives no error, just does nothing. Using copy/paste to place ghosts works however.

Looks like a regression. In 1.0 we were able to place ghosts anywhere. And now shift-click works only around the player.

Edit: 1.1.8 works fine too.

This is definitely a new issue since updating from 1.1.8. I don't see any options for this in settings, so please fix it :(

I'm still having this issue in 1.1.12, despite the changelog saying that the issue was fixed.

It's half-fixed. You can now build blueprints outside range using shift, but not with a ghost in your cursor. Using shift *and* a ghost in your cursor still allows you to build outside range, so you can use that as a workaround.

Oh! Thanks for explaining that, I'll go try it and see if it works.

Yep! Holding shift makes a ghost anywhere, yay!

One of the many, many many things solved for 1.1.13, there is also some refactoring included, so a lot of code got deduplicated and cleaned up. Bunch of things got fixed by it, this being one of them.
