I had last tried version 0.2.10, nice progress since!

I installed factorio_alpha_0.4.1-1_all.deb, a few bugs I think:
  • The internal debian package version number says 0.3.2 even though the game is 0.4.1
  • The package contains the scenario pack (e.g. /usr/share/factorio/scenario-pack/campaigns/tight-spot). Isn't that supposed to be separate? That also means that when trying to install the latest pack in ~/.factorio I get: "Duplicate mod scenario-pack."
  • When starting a tight-spot level, the speed starts at 32. That means the first steps happen very fast. I personally would prefer speed 1 by default, and I can crank it up when I saw how things start up.

I can confirm number 2 for the linux tar build as well. I don't know if backers with access to the scenario pack just get different packages.

Number 3 is also somewhat annoying to me. It's difficult to try and optimize the startup of the factory (especially coal distribution).

Thanks for the report, the first and second problem will be fixed in next release.
I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I also noticed the files, but they didn't seem to do anything, so I assumed that part of the pack is shipped to everyone and part to those that should be able to run it.
(I even actively tried to peek in the pack, but failed)

Yup, for some reason the mod in /usr/share/factorio is registered, but does not show up.
I had to move it to ~/.factorio.

I noticed something strange - Main menu -> Play -> Custom scenario -> Why is the "play" button called "Create"??
I was not sure whether that wouldn't overwrite the file.
