Hi, i have one small addition for Mac release.
Mac program doesn`t have updated "about Factorio" information and is showing old release information - version 16.51.

0.17 is still considered an experimental branch. Have you enabled checking for experimental update in the ingame updater? (For Steam, you can enable the 0.17 releases in the betas tab).

Meanwhile I have the feeling that 0.17 could be considered to receive the tag 'stable' 
In my personal savegame I have nearly completely-evolved biters... alas, I can cope with them... and both in single or multiplayer it seems to work quite nicely. IMHO it offers quite some benefits over the 0.16 version which make a switch totally worthwhile.
