[Rseding91][Pending] [0.12.35] Broken save game

Somehow I've managed to break this save game. I have no clue why but I cannot load it on Windows 10 x64 or Mac OSX El Capitain.

I can confirm that it crashes when loading w/o mods.
Did you at some point migrate this save from an earlier version of factorio or do you know something else that might have caused it?

This is a x.12 game only. I've over time added mods but didn't have any issues til last night.

Since I am in sandbox I have been using the console command

Can you upload all of your mods? I can fix the corrupt save but we don't know what caused it. My best bet is some kind of memory corruption during save until we can find anything that says otherwise.

There's a chunk (at chunk position -53, 36) that saved out to disk with every tile ID of 0 (invalid - no ID). It's in a random place near the bottom left of your explored area with nothing special on it.

Did you do anything in the map editor down that area? Did you use the "server_save" command with your game at some point in the past with an older version maybe?

Regarding memory corruption during save, my 3 autosaves made in the 15 minutes before I saved this file where also corrupt but during this time the game kept on playing fine. I didn't notice anything.
I haven't editted the map in any other way, other than the previously mentioned /c command to clear rocks, also did I not use serve_save.

I've started this save game with Factorio 0.12.24, maybe a few updates later but definitely no earlier than this.

I still don't know for sure what caused it. Memory corruption is the only thing I can think of at this point until someone is able to reproduce the issue from a known good save.

You can try running this http://www.memtest.org/ to see if maybe you have RAM hardware failure.

Memtest on an OS X machine (where it broke) is going to be hard. I'll see if I can break it again.
