Crash when offline

So, my internet wasn't working today, so I launched steam in offline mode to play some Factorio. However when the game loaded to main menu, I hovered over the play button and it didn't highlight. When clicked, the game stopped responding (windows "not responding" error, then "send to microsoft", which I skipped).

First I thought this has something to do with the mods I had, so I removed everything from mods directory and tried again, unfortunatelly with the same issue.

Now that internet is working again, the issue no longer happens.

Log file is empty (well, ends with "Factorio initialised"), so probably no luck there. I can try to replicate the issue later tonight if you want to.

Version: 0.17.79, build 47865, win64, steam.

Thanks for the report. If there's no crash in the log file there isn't much we can do.

It sounds like some other piece of software on your computer might have been causing the issue - since Factorio doesn't require a internet connection to work.

I know we've had issues in the past with Discords overlay not working right.
