[0.14.21] Factorio Crash on Mod GUI click when recording

Using the steam version.

Mod reproduction. I've got OBS open, Factorio in "fullscreen", On linux 16.10. I've got sublime text open, and OBS recording factorio and sublime text (though the scene is set to only record full screen factorio for this reproduction attempt)
1. Click start recording in OBS.
2. Load game
3. Change scene in OBS to the sublime + factorio overlay
4. Change scene in OBS *back* to the factorio only scene.
3. Click the "calculator" icon (becuase of *course* it's the mod I wrote).
Factorio crashes to desktop.

The mod uses this event-click to cause a text-field to spawn in the top GUI bar, repositioning other elements (in case that matters).

In the logs, all I see is:

43.710 Checksum for script __Modpack_Yi_Angel__/control.lua: 2075598542
133.242 Steam API shutdown.
133.243 Goodbye

Which looks to be a normal shutdown to me.

OBS continues recording and system is stable.

The link to your mod is not working.
Does it happen as well when only using the mod it "crashed" before?
Post your .ziped mod-folder.

Being there's no crash in the log file I don't think the game is actually crashing. Something is closing it.

If you can get it to actually crash and produce something in the crash log let us know.
