Game freezes on startup or at main menu.

I am having a whole bunch of strange errors.

The game hangs on startup or crashes at the main menu.

I have gotten out of video memory errors, failed to load sprites and game not responding errors.

I have reinstalled the game several times, verified game cache, deleted mod and config folder and reinstalled etc.

At this point I don't know what else to try.

This issue showed up after I updated to the latest AMD drivers and installed a couple more mods.

Just got it to work with mods and then as soon as I switch to full screen I get this error.

I am on a 1440p monitor but my friend who has a 1600p monitor doesn't have any issues. He is using a NVidia GPU and I have AMD though.

Hi, go to Factorio properties in Steam and set launch options to

Code: Select all

--force-opengl

If that doesn't help, try to disable RivaTuner Statistics Server. What version of RTSS and MSI Afterburner do you have?
