Just three words: WHAT THE HELL?
I am using english version of the game, but since those I am playing with are Russians, I had to manually edit \data\core\locale\en\core.cfg file and change the fonts there because in standard english game cyrilliac characters are not shown.
And the most unexpected error comes out: when someone shoot things in MP, I get desync. And you know what? The cause of that is FONTS I changed. I don't know how is that possible for fonts to somehow break connection (maybe it has something to do with CRC hashes), but it is. Nothing happens when I play standard game.
Mods we use: hardcorio, logistic wagons.

A desync isn't a connection error, it happens when the simulation of the game doesn't match up on all computers.
So editing a core file only on your computer would obviously cause a desync to happen, don't you think?

Did you change it because you can't see Cyrillic characters in chat?

In this case is there any workaround for this problem? I don't want to play this game in insane mix of English and Russian. Well, except for making every single player in our game to have absolutely same cfg and ttf files.

Oh well, seems like it's kinda old bug
"Desynchronization" is a bit ambiguous name for that sort of things. I thought "desync" means that current game state (which is pretty much CRC hashes) is not equal for all players and since the only thing that is seemingly downloaded for desynchronizated players is map, I thought that desync occurs only when a map is downloaded with errors, so basically players' maps are not synchronizated. That's why I never thought fonts would cause desyncs too, because if that's a case, then player just shouldn't be able to join game.A desync isn't a connection error, it happens when the simulation of the game doesn't match up on all computers.
