unable to log into mods.factorio.com

despite me using the same username and password I use on the forums I am unable to log into mods.factorio.com. It says invalid username or password every time. How do I fix this?

To log into the Mod Portal, you will need to use the username and password from your factorio.com account, not your forums account.
