ingame the changelog is not available
(when having 2.0.7 installed and checking for updates to update to 2.0.8)

oh i see when looking at the changelog ingame an error appears in the factorio log.

Yes, by loading factorio with the new version of the mod...
You can see the changelog if you click the mod in the mods list.
