[1.1.6] Possible error in Logistic Science Pack recipe

Post by jader201 »

Logistic Science Packs show requiring only 5.5 raw Iron Plates, but I believe this should be 7.

The wiki also lists 5.5 raw Iron Plates being required for Logistic Science Pack.

Logistic Science Packs require:
- 1 x Transporter Belt
- 1 x Inserter

Transporter Belts require:
- 1 x Iron Plate
- 1 x Gear Wheel (= 2 x Iron Plates)
for a total of 3 x Iron Plates

Inserters require:
- 1 x Iron Plate
- 1 x Gear Wheel (= 2 x Iron Plates)
- 1 x Electronic Circuit (= 1 x Iron Plate)
for a total of 4 x Iron Plates

Combining the two raw Iron Plates: 3 + 4 = 7

This seems like it would've been caught before, though, so maybe I'm overlooking something.

However, I was able to repro this by having only 6 Iron Plates (and 2 Copper Plates) in my inventory, and even though the recipe lists requiring 5.5 Iron Plates, it would not let me build a Logistic Science Pack:

Adding another Iron Plate (bringing my total to 7 Iron Plates), it allowed me to craft a Logistic Science Pack (other screenshot):

Not a bug.

Recipe for transport belt is "1 iron-plate + 1 iron-gear-wheel -> 2 transport-belt", so on average single transport belt requires 1.5 iron plate

That’s right, forgot that it made 2x belts, and it’s not possible to make a single belt (why the hand craft wouldn’t work). I figured I was overlooking something.
