[0.17.79] Water burns

Post by JasonC »

When water is hit with the flamethrower, it burns for a while, and also scorch marks are left afterwards.

Unless this game is set in 1960's Cleveland, what I expected to happen was the fire to immediately go out, possibly with smoke, and not leave scorch marks.

Took a break from 0.12.29 to 0.17.79, and then to ... oh god now it's 1.something. I never know what's happening.

I see no problem in the burning, as if you spray burning fuel onto water it will continue to burn until the fuel is gone, provided the fuel is lighter than water (which most fuel is)

Scorch marks however...

Seems legit. It's a feature, not a bug.

I'm downgrading this report to just "fire leaves scorch marks on water", then.

(Incidentally, and completely off-topic, all of a sudden I'm getting all these ideas for having to dump waste from refineries into water and all of the side effects. Maybe that'll be my first 0.17/0.18 mod, lol.)
