[0.17.47] "Killing" Rocks Only Drops Stone
When you shoot a rock for stone, it will drop the same sprite. Also when you "kill" a rock that contains coal, it will not drop.

Thanks for the report however that's working as intended. Mining vs shooting produce different results and are 2 distinct actions.

What is the gameplay reason that different actions give different loot? You explained that the engine has two separate systems and loot data for the different actions, but you didn't say why the "shoot loot" is set to a different thing to the "mining loot".Rseding91 wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2019 12:19 am Thanks for the report however that's working as intended. That's simply how it works: you kill something drops "loot", you mine something it gives "mined results". When those rocks where added whoever added them decided to implement the coal portion as a mined-result only. I could try to theorize why it was written that way but I don't consider it worth the effort to do so.

If you don't have a reason why it is one way but you have a reason for it to be another way, why not make it that other way?

If you destroy the rock by shooting it, explosions make the coal burn up.
