PROBLEM:
I was driving my car at high speeds then I hit a dead tree. The Car's health bar shows up but no damage is taken. The things I hit take little to no damage, and the car completely stops.
RECREATE:
Drive a car into something at high speeds.

It's working as intended. From the changelogs:
- New physics for cars. Car now does very little damage when colliding
Use a tank if you want to destroy trees. Use a train if you want to kill yourself

Jeroon is right. Car is meant more for transport than to destroy stuff. This is an intended change.

I would have thought I had seen that when I looked at the change log. I do like the old physics better. Perhaps I'll request a mod.slpwnd wrote:Jeroon is right. Car is meant more for transport than to destroy stuff. This is an intended change.

I am totally ok with the fact that the car cant destroy trees now,
BUT
the car should take much more damage (eg half of full life at full speed) so that the player really knows he should not repeat it and pay more attention.

I'm not sure. The stuff on ground is sometimes so bad to see...
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
