[0.15.34] Player data identical across multiple saves

Post by Raeon »

Hi there!

[h]Context[/h]
Since the title length doesn't allow for much nuance, allow me to explain.

I've been playing on my save file for about 28 hours total. I last played yesterday evening, and everything was fine up until that point. This morning when I loaded my latest save, I suddenly realized I did not spawn at the position that the preview showed me to be at. After which I also immediately noticed my inventory was VERY outdated. To illustrate just how outdated it was, I had a fully filled power-armor equipped and my inventory was still quite loaded from building a new ore outpost. However, now I was suddenly back to a prehistoric inventory state with heavy armor and only half full with lots of older items (lower tech than where I was at).

From what I can gather it seems as though any save file I load on that particular map, I will always spawn at the same spot with the same or a nearly identical inventory.

[h]Summary[/h]

Loaded my latest save this morning

Preview was incorrect, spawned at another position

Inventory back to prehistoric times

This is the case for every save I load, despite there being days difference between their Last Modified dates

Disabling all mods seems to make no difference whatsoever
[h]Demo[/h]
A bit fast, but pay attention to the preview compared to my spawn position, and the map view showing they are clearly saved at different times.

[h]Reproducing[/h]
Download mods/saves folder + factorio-current.log here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5k1t ... mp6S3RGSjQ
Load several of my save files and compare the preview, spawn location, inventory and map progress.

I hope this is reproducible for you! I'm quite frustrated right now because of this.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
(Thanks for the awesome game! :))

EDIT: Apparently I got logged out and loaded into the save as the person who initially made it (it was a multiplayer save file). This thread can be closed.

Sind your map is named "multiplayer met Joris", could it be that you changed your player name (in the other tabs in the options) or something along those lines? It seems to me like you are being spawned with the player character of your friend instead of your own.
I'm an admin over at https://wiki.factorio.com. Feel free to contact me if there's anything wrong (or right) with it.

You're correct in that it was a multiplayer map, however I haven't changed my name (or anything to my knowledge) between the last time I played (yesterday) and today. It might also be worth mentioning that this save file has not been played in multiplayer mode from the very first local save file ("Multiplayer met Joris 3.zip"). We have played on this save file in multiplayer mode only before that point.

Apparently I got logged out.
