This is a minor issue, but also probably easily fixed. When my train stops at a chain signal, I have an inserter ready to refuel it. But at a chsin signal it fails to do so. I assume that the game does not recognise the "temporarily" stationary train as stopped.

Re: Unable to fuel train at Chain signal
I have a request that can perhaps be done at the same time, so I'm posting it here.
I can hook a red/green wire to a signal and read or set its state. Would be helpful if I could also do that with a chain-signal, at least reading mode.

Re: Unable to fuel train at Chain signal
Thanks for the report.
This is not a bug. Inserters don't interact with trains stopped at signals intentionally.

Re: Unable to fuel train at Chain signal
Thanks... seems strange. But now that I know I have adapted.
Re: Unable to fuel train at Chain signal
Not strange at all. The reason is illustrated on following image. When the train stops on selected signal, the first cargo wagon (there are trains with two locomotives and 4 cargo wagons in this save) would be loaded by coal.juliejayne wrote:seems strange.
Having signal near train stop is very common (I found this in the first save I randomly opened ... it is from bug report 48633)
