[13.15] Saving causes game crash

So was playing and game went to autosave while i was placing landfill. once auto save finished the game crashed. with this error log.

Relaunched the game and tried to rejoin the multiplayer game. downloaded the map and on loading the actual world crashed again with this crash log

not sure if it was the placing of landfill while autosaving that crashed it but yeah .

We rolled back the server and i was able to rejoin. but now the game is crashing whenever it autosaves.

So i was able to rejoin the server now post crash. Then went in and manually saved the game and it caused a crash. every time it saves it crashes. Log file.

Either those errors are not all related or I would suspect an hardware defect.

The log files were all in a 5 minute span of eachother every time the game either saved or just after i crashed from a save loaded the map. if we dont save no issues as soon as we save it just crashed. but only on this map. single player or a new map in multiplayer doesnt crash when saving.

okay so long story short was happening for like 30 minutes earlier trying everything to fix it and just kept happening. left it weaiting for replys just jumped on to try and trigger it again and grab save file and its just fixed it self. issue just stopped occuring saves are fine again idk.

knowing that there was some kind of issue earlier tho this is our save file and mod list:

RBX here has the same bit set; I'm betting its use in this context is an offset to a pointer.


DEFINITLY run a memory test; have only one stick in the machine at a time, and run 2-3 passes on each stick.

1/0 is for when we have no clue why something is happening – basically for unreproducible or unfixable bugs. Here we have a pretty good clue that whatever is happening is not Factorio's fault.

1/0 is for when we have no clue why something is happening – basically for unreproducible or unfixable bugs. Here we have a pretty good clue that whatever is happening is not Factorio's fault.
