[0.12.33] Shooting breaks latency hiding

Pressing space to shoot something (with or without a target) breaks latency hiding, the player snaps back a few steps and then runs faster than normal to catch up again.

That's by design. Trying to "fake" accurately shooting weapons and them interacting with anything (killing biters, trees, buildings) isn't something we want to take on yet so we simply turn latency hiding off when shooting guns.

There doesn't really need to be accurate prediction for the weapon itself, but you definitely have to fix the player jumping back every time space is pressed.

I would also call this a bug it's just in the class of "Not Implemented Yet" or maybe "Won't Fix".

Its not a bug if the code is behaving exact as desired. Its just a feature you dont like.

Think of it this way, if you consider this a bug then you must also consider latency hiding itself a bug instead of a feature. because the game is showing your character as being in a location that the entire MP environment as a whole does not consider you to be.

An undesirable effect is not a feature. If anything, this is the lack of a feature.
