There is no way to "unplug" lasers on a space platform while idling/orbiting Nauvus, where they are unneeded. As such, they draw power, which is quite expensive while sitting still.
(My platform uses a small nuclear plant, which uses very little steam (aka ice) while idling, save for the lasers.
Is this a bug?
If not, it's a huge Feature Request (FR) to be able to -- based on circuitry -- temporarily disable lasers in a way that makes them draw 0 power.
NOTE: This can be done land-side with a switch & circuitry but, because all of the space platform is electrically connected, that does not work in space.

Thanks for the report. This is not a bug. If you want to avoid the power draw then don’t use lasers on platforms.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
