[1.1.69] Cannot copy-paste splitters onto belts in map mode

Post by gdubrocks »

What did you do? What happened?
When in map view, copy pasting a splitter ontop of a belt will not work.

What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the splitter to paste ontop of the belt. This happens if I hold the splitter in my "hand" while in the map view, but doesn't work when copy pasting.

This bug always occurs with 100% reproducibility.

May I ask what you mean by "copy pasting" the splitter? If it means you use [Ctrl]-[C] and select only the splitter, then what you receive in your cursor is a blueprint, not a ghost item. Replacement logic like you are expecting does not apply to blueprints.

Given the description i am going to say this is Not a bug: as Tobias said, copy-paste gives you a blueprint and blueprint placement does not follow the fast-replace logic.
