So I had two platforms. One was in orbit around Nauvis, and the other in orbit around Vulcanus. I wanted to reconfigure the one in orbit around Nauvis to match the one at Vulcanus. They have fuel tanks in the same locations so I can do this and keep my fuel and be able to burn immediately.
Unfortunately copy-pasting from the Vulcanus ship causes the Nauvis one to try to travel to Vulcanus. Which wouldn't be an issue for most ships except mine starts moving as soon as the fuel tanks are connected to the engine and it immediately starts to smash into asteroids because the defenses haven't finished building yet. But I don't think there's any reason it would ever be helpful for the planet heading to be copied, this is the only time it would come up.

What is the platform's schedule?
If it's Vulcanus first, then Nauvis, I'd say the platform was in automatic mode and departed as soon as possible.
A solution could be to have Nauvis listed first, with departure condition making sure defenses are set up?

Yeah that is the case. It's not really a solution though, this seems like a pretty common thing where copy-paste will just unexpectedly cause a ship to self-destruct.
