55MB map lag issues multiplayer

I am experiencing lag issues on a large built factories, trains, bots, ports, etc, ..

The map is about 55MB and 130hours in...

I do like the game play of exploring the infinity of the map, the goal was to zoom the map view out full zoom and have every part explored without any black space...

Not even half way and experiencing lag and it seems due to the activity of the map, aliens, bots, etc..

I am curious, the game does not seem heavy on the graphics to run smooth with good pings and no lag. Other games with more advanced graphics seem to be able to handle a lot on servers..

Is multiplayer lag on heavy content maps going to be resolved in future updates?

Please make a screenshot with show_fps, show_time_used_percent and show_multiplayer_waiting_statistics activated in the debug menu (F4->F5) while the issue is present.
Furthermore post your system specs and the server specs.

Yes I can do this but it seems to effect every player no matter how great their PC system is.

It seems to be a matter of excessive number of bots, area explored on map, bot activity such as too many purple chests..

It would be nice to eventually explore the infinity infinitely with out lag.

The lag seems to be rubberbanding and freezing, though when bots are taken away it gets better by a lot.

The issue is quite simple, the host/server is not fast enough so everyone connected is slowing down.
