I would call it a bug: The health bar is behind other buildings: You can't see, that a turret is damaged, if it is over a wall.

The problem, it looks bad when it is in higher layer.

Especially for walls and turrets, you could consider having one or multiple “damaged” graphics for partially destroyed buildings.
Alternatively, health bars could be forced to the foreground by pressing the alt key (because that mode is already designed to look “bad” compared to normal mode).

The alt idea is a good solution.
The problem is just: A much damaged turret finally getting destroyed, because you didn't know it was nealy destroyed, looks much worse. ^^

Setting the health bar above the building in alt mode should be sufficent.

Repair robots are here and this is not a bug
