Hello in this video i show a 2x16 5GW compact nuclear plant + a tileable version of it. It does not need to be placed in a large lake of water! You only need landfill for the offshore pumps that feed it with water to have them organized and pressurized. Pressurized water let's you have your offshore pumps be at a larger distance if needed with the only negative being the increased power draw of the pumps the larger the distance. This design is highly efficient and compact and it is belt fed.
Drawbacks: I suggest to only use it as it is in horizontal orientation because the steam output will be not as efficient in vertical due to the nature of the fluid mechanics in the game that show a preference. It does not save fuel but it is highly efficient in it's usage. Nuclear power at large scales can create performance issues, for better performance i suggest to disable smoke or increase the video card memory usage as it seems to rely on it. I have a graphics card with 2 GB of VRAM and would suggest a graphics card with more than that if you plan to make a megabase that relies on nuclear power without compromises on visual effects.
