Symetricals nuclear blueprint for 4 and 8 reactors

Post by Akromos »

Here are my nuclear designs for 4 and 8 reactors.
The designs respect ratio and most important thing, are symetrical! :p

(I have no design for 6 because my need of power scaled up too fast^^)

4 reactors (48 heat exchangers, 84 turbines, 6 pumps)

4 cores blueprint
8 reactors (112 heat exchangers, 192 turbines, 10 pumps)

the correct ratio is 193 turbines, but it is a prime number that do not fit the symetry :p
8 cores blueprint

There are several issues with your setup:
- Some pumps are missing (upper right corner)
- You cant produce enough power using steam from the tanks alone. Slowly goes down to less than 10MW. So why have so many in the first place?
- These pipe in the middle of the turbine sectors... AAAH! xD Please dont use two rows of pipes ever! Fluid mechanics are bad.

i just forgot to remove the pumps, they are not really needed, it was for test and debbug :p

i haven't took into account the usefullness (or not) of the tanks, i just had somme place to fill^^

and for the double pipe, it is for... symetry =)

These designs are functionnal, i'm still using the 8 core, and it handdle 1GW for hours, but i dit not push it to its limits yet
