- Simple
- Efficient with U-235 usage (between 0-3 unused U-235 per craft under normal conditions)
- Easily expanded
- No user input required after pasting/building a new segment (no priming or unloading)
- No circuits
- Consistent
It works because once the centrifuge has 40 U-235 after its "output" phase, the centrifuge will start crafting and free up inventory space for more U-238. The inserter will switch to grabbing U-238, leaving a short window for U-235 to leak through before it starts "overgrabbing" U-235.
Some notes: Inserters A and B need to be set to stack size 2. The single belt under Inserter B needs to be a red belt. The priority settings on splitters need to be set.
- If there are 40 U-235 in the machine (40 processing, 0 extra) during the output phase the setup will "leak" one U-235 (the one produced by the process.)
- If there are 41 U-235 in the machine (40 processing, 1 extra) the setup will "leak" one U-235.
- If there are 42 (or 43) U-235 in the machine (40 processing, 2 [or 3] extra) the setup will "leak" three U-235, causing the next cycle to be 40 processing and 0 (or 1) extra.
- If there are 44 U-235 in the machine (40 processing, 4 extra) the setup will "leak" four U-235.
