Long Description

The goal here was to make the tech tree more intuative and understandable for new players. Since the game gives you the goal of building a rocket, I decided that should be the goal of the tech tree as well.

The old tech tree had many redundant prerequiresites, which I have removed. This is why most technologies in the new tech tree only have one Pre-requiresite.

The Tech tree is now broken into two main sections. The Trunk and the Side Techs.

The Trunk contains all technologies and recipes requried the build the rocket and nothing more. You can "win" the game simply by researching these technolgoies. The trunk technologies have also been re-arranged to be in a more practical order based on requirements and Science Pack Cost. For example, no technologies which require Blue bottles show up before you research Blue Bottles.

The Trunk is also broken into three Tiers. The technologies in each Tier are structured into two tracks each requiring the previous tech in the track to be unlocked. I have aimed for interesting gameplay for both of these tracks, so for example in the Second Tier you can research the Sulfur branch, which leads to Rockets and Tanks, or you can go down the Plastic branch which leads to Modular Armor and Robots. Of course both branches need to be unlocked before you can start on the next tier.

Each technology in the Trunk is also the start of a chain of Side Technologies. I have aimed for every Side technology to be somehow thematically related to its Trunk parent, but it is not always the case (or possible).

Trains also come a little earlier, and I modified the cost of Modular Armor to not require Proccessing Units (although the overall Raw cost is still the same). Portable Solar panels have also had an upgrade to make Modular Armor usable early on.
