Outposts is a mod about expansion, exploration, and network building. You are a newly contracted employee of the Red Moon Trading Company, who has deployed pod outposts across the surface of Nauvis. Your job is to connect the appropriate outposts together (often by train) and deliver final products to the central hub. To facilitate this, you are given a variety of useful tools for an accelerated start and an exploration vehicle, which clears trees and rocks from your path automatically.
My alpha test took about 2 hours to build a red and green science factory, then about 4-6 hours after that to complete the orders. The mod is designed to only need green science (for trains), and no oil products (of course, you can progress through the scientific tiers if you wish).
