Angels Smelting Ratios and builds

Post by ukezi »

I have put together the correct ratios for Angels Smelting. The speeds in the basic production chains are Crafting Speeds (cs). The chains are normalized for 40 items/s (=blue belt) output. I only put the pallet chain here, because that one has the most productivity.
Machine speeds
Name MK1 Mk2 Mk3 Mk4
Power per cs
processor 0.75 1 1.5 2
200 200 166 2/3 125
pallet 0.75 1 1.5
200 200 166
blast 0.75 1.25 1.75 2.25
200 160 143 133
induction 0.75 1 1.5 2
200 200 166 2/3 125
cast 0.75 1 1.5 2
200 200 166 2/3 125
Materials
Iron,Cobalt,Silicon and Tin
80cs cast<-53 1/3cs induction<-32cs blast<-5 1/3cs Pallet<- 10 2/3cs Processor
40 Plate<-40 Molten<-40 Ingot <-32Pellets+8Coke<-5 1/3 Processed<-21 1/3 Ore
Bonus Factor 1,875
the chain is the same for cobalt silicon and tin, you just need carbon for cobalt and coal for silicon and tin instead of coke at the blast stage
Copper, Gold, Nickel, Silver, Zinc
80cs cast <- 53 1/3cs induction <- 32cs blast <- 6 2/3cs Pallet <- 13 1/3cs Processor
40 Plate <- 40 Molten <- 40 Ingot <- 40Pellets <- 6 2/3 Processed <-26 2/3 Ore
for gold you need also 40 Chlorine, for Zinc and Nickel 40 Carbon Monoxide at the blast stage
Bonus Factor 1,5
Aluminium
80cs cast <- 53 1/3cs induction <- 21 1/3cs Blast<-4.444cs Pallet <- 8.8888cs Processor
40 plate <- 40 molten <- 26 2/3 Ingot <- 26 2/3 Pallets +16 Sodium Hydroxide <- 4.444 Processed <-17,77 Ore
Bonus Factor 2,25
Lead
80cs cast <- 53 1/3cs induction <-32cs blast <- 32cs blast <- 6 2/3cs Pallet <- 13 1/3cs Processor
40Plate <- 40 molten <- 40 Ingot <- 40 Oxide +40 Oxygen <- 40 pallets<- 6 2/3 processed <- 26 2/3 Ore
This process nets also 20 SO2/s at the blast stage.
Bonus Factor 1,5
Titan
80cs cast <- 53 1/3cs induction <-32cs blast <- 48cs (chem/adv. chem / liquefier) <- 48cs (chem/adv. chem / liquefier) <-5 1/3 Pallets <-10 2/3 Processor
40 Plate <- 40 molten <- 40 ingot <- 40 Sponge <- 40 Titan Tetrachloride <-32 pallets + 8 Carbon + 40 Chlorine <- 5 1/3 Processed <- 21 1/3 Ore
Bonus Factor 1,875
Tungsten
80cs cast <-53 1/3cs induction <-32cs blast <-32cs blast <- 48cs (chem/adv. chem / liquefier) <- 6 2/3cs pallet <- 13 1/3 Processor
40 Plate <- 40 Molten <- 40 ingot <- 40 Oxide <-40 Ammonium Paratungstate <-40 Pallets +40 Ammonia <- 6 2/3 Processed <-26 2/3 Ore
Bonus Factor 1,5

Steel is just the iron chain times two from ore to ingot with an additional ingot stage.

Observations: Processor Mk3 to Pallet Mk1 and Processor Mk4 to Pallet Mk2 are 1:1.
1 Blue Belt Iron without moduls or beacons
6 Blue Belt Iron with Beacon MK3 and 12 Raw Speed 8 and Robots.

Sorry your table is not very aligned.

I build this setup a few days ago from my calculations with direct crushed ore sorting to iron plates.
This is a 4x 2 line setup with 3000plates/m.
The blue ore feed is not nearly so maybe 10000/m are possible?

Before this i had all seperated in rows but the blue belts annoyed me because the inserters could't drop near the end.

It would be nice to see some ratios including the use of speed modules to get an idea of how compressed this can be.

For a nice while I've spent many hours creating a design that looks surprisingly like steinio's, but lacking in such a massive scale, perfect calculations and finesse.
Setup
After a few days of using it without much issue (Though far from perfect), I've begun to create the additional smelting lines for other ores, but a nice chart of ratios including modules would certainly help with a more compact redesign.
Not that I want to burn you out, but if you have the time it would really help the rest of us who don't. Truly would be appreciated.

I also wasn't aware how beneficial Aluminum smelting truly was. That is quite the attractive bonus factor.

Is there a way to do tables in the forum? I don't really want to do Google docs but maybe that's the way to do it. Is there a way to do it interactive in Google docs without having to give people toe right to modify the document?

Sure just create a goole spreadsheet and set it (duo link) to read only. Everyone can make a copy and modfy on its own.

Guys we need separate topic for creations with angel mods :D and for future py coal processing mod too :D - this mod will have close ties with angel and bob mods

It's not a perfect ratio, but...meh. I will say this is the most stone brick I've ever placed on the ground.

I have no clue what all this means. I am trying to use angels petrochem and so on but have no idea what the ingots do?
Do i create more plates from ore if i first make ingots and molten ore from it?

yes, angels smelting is a mod that lets you build a gigantic complex that create about 85% more plate per ore than normal smelting.

mmm Ok.
I wrote it out and tried it and from 8 ore i still got 8 plate. Maybe i did something wrong :)
4 erts goes in to 1 proc copper withc becomes 5 ingots and 3 of those become 3molten and 2 of that get 2 plates.
Will need to test it damn that mod is insane. Love it

most of the bonus is in the pellet step
