[1.1.36] Occasionally freezes on ubuntu

Describe the problem as best as you can

• What did you do?
  - Migrated to ubuntu recently, and factorio starts to freeze occasionally. Most of the time I was walking around in my spidertron when everything suddenly freezes.

• What happened?
  - The whole game freezes, then the system tells me it's not responding and asks me to do a force quit. Waited for a while and the game disappeared, nothing popped up then. System runs normally and I always restart the game immediately

• Write down the steps to reproduce the bug if you know them.
  - Couldn't reproduce intentionally.

• Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
  - Sometimes. I recently plays a LOT and only happens maybe once or twice a day.

• game log file

• gdb log file. Because every time I checked the log and there's not a single warning, so I asked in the subreddit and someone advised me to run it under gdb.

Thanks for the report. Do you still get these freezes? If so, could you try with a standalone copy of the game? There are a lot of steam-related errors in the gdb log.

also if you're not wanting to use the standalone copy you could try disabling the in-game Steam Overlay for the game, which can cause issues especially on Linux with X11.
